Happy Thursday Grow Together Leaders,  I hope your week has been a good one.

63578239796040925871761001_introvert2-xI’m not sure what comes to your mind when you think about the word “introvert”, but the truth is many of us have misconceptions about the way introverts function and specifically how they fit in small groups and classes.  In fact, it might surprise you to know that I am an introvert, and I know that many of you are as well.

Anyway, I found this great article on introverts and small groups, that I wanted to pass along for you to read.   We all have people who are introverted in our groups/classes, so hopefully this will give each of us an even greater understanding of the way introverts think and function, so we can serve and lead them even better.

Here is the article:

Love Where You Are - Neighborhood Prayer Card (FRONT)As I mentioned in the Huddle last weekend, we are beginning a series next weekend (May 7 &8) called “Love Where You Are”.  Over the course of 4 weeks we are going to take a close look at the theology of evangelism, while also encouraging our congregation to take very practical steps in praying for and getting to know their actual neighbors.

As a part of this series, I am writing a 2 week study to go along with this series.  I would highly encourage you to use this study with your group or class.  The study will be 2 weeks long and can be used at any point during this series or in the summer.  My plan is to post this study next Thursday on this blog.

You rightnowmediashould have received an invitation this week to create an account on Rightnow Media.  Please let me know if you did not receive the invitation.  As you begin to explore your account and what Rightnow can do, please send me any thoughts and questions you have.  We will be rolling this out to the congregation May 14 and 15, and I would love to have your feedback to help others as they join.

Screen Shot 2016-04-28 at 3.26.12 PMOne of the reasons I am excited about Rightnow Media is the training opportunities that are available to you as a Small Group Leader or Teacher.  I would encourage you to go through the course called “3 Patterns of  Healthy Small Group“. You can find it  by clicking here.   I have already sent an invitation to this course to those of you who have created an account.

maxresdefaultOur big series for the fall is called “Finding Your Way Back to God”.  We will be teaching this and using it as a way to launch groups as well.  We would also love your small group or class to join us in this series in the fall.  If you would like to preview this series, check it out on Rightnow Media by clicking here.

Thanks again, please let me know if there is any way I can serve your group.
Thanks, JG

Hello amazing Grow Together Leaders, I hope your week has been good.  This upcoming weekend is crazy busy between the Intentional Church Conference (looking forward to seeing many of you there), church, the Congregational Meeting, and our…

GT Invite.001I am so glad that so many of you are able to make it Sunday evening.  I am looking forward to having some food together (Penn Station in case you were curious), and talking about some exciting things coming up in the world of Grow Together.  I look forward to seeing you at 6 pm in the Mosaic Cafe.

Why do we lead groups?  Why do we have classes?  The truth is there are a lot of reasons.  In fact that is one of the things I look forward to talking about on Sunday evening.  One of our leaders (Bob Bolin) shared this video with me this week and I wanted to share it with you.  It’s a great reminder of the importance of pursuing people in our groups and calling them to really dive in.  Check it out here:

If the video doesn’t show up, please click here.

If you are unable to make it to the Huddle Sunday night,  I would love to set up a time with you in the next 2 weeks to cover everything we are going to be talking about. Please click here to email me to set up a time to connect.

I’ve mentioned a few times now a new technology that I think will benefit our groups and classes.  I look forward to telling you more about this Sunday evening, or for coffee next week, but in the mean time I wanted to give you a preview.  Check this out:

Thank you so much for serving faithfully.  Have a great weekend!

Thanks, JG

Once I hear from you, I will register you.

1*FugbGxi_jnARy2YbIRPlrQWe will be doing a missional living series throughout the month of May called “Love Where You Are”.   I am really excited about this series and the impact it can make in our lives and the lives of those in our groups and classes.  I wanted to let you know that I will be writing a 2 week study that will go along with this series.  The series is 4 weeks long, and if you would like to use this study, it can be used at any time during or after this series.  There is no pressure to use the study, although I believe it could help your group/class have a great discussion about applying this series to their lives.   I just wanted to give you a heads up as you plan for your group for the remainder of the spring.

As always, please let me know if you need anything or there is any way I can serve your group.

Thanks, JG
